Large lens Pevicon Cameras

Several derivatives of the P4428 'fire' camera were produced with removeable narrow field of view lenses. These superceded the P4222.
The P4430 only had minor mechanical changes to accomodate the lens.
The P4431 used a 'hard' vacuum tube (P8093) run at higher voltages with modified PCB's similar to the final few P4428. It had motor focus and iris. This represented the limit of Pevicon tube performance as any bigger lens cost was not justified against a customer buying a cooled camera.
The P4440 while electrically similar had relaid PCB's and a shorter Pevicon tube to fit in a small diameter aluminium tubular body. This used a folded conical chopper wheel to reduce overall diamaeter compared to the flat spiral chopper wheel.
